Slash Commands

Configure alerts in Discord with /alert.

All setup happens in Discord. Start with /alert add, pick a platform, submit the modal, and Hastebot starts watching for new uploads or live streams.

  • /alert add platform:youtube|twitch
  • /alert list
  • /alert remove monitor_id:<uuid>
  • /alert test monitor_id:<uuid>

Add flow

  1. 1

    Run /alert add and choose youtube or twitch.

  2. 2

    Modal opens with required handle_or_url.

  3. 3

    Optional message_template customizes outgoing text.

  4. 4

    On success, Hastebot returns monitor ID and a test action.

Outcome

  • Monitor is created and tied to the channel where command was run.

  • /alert list shows active monitors and IDs.

  • /alert test monitor_id:<uuid> sends a test alert on demand.

  • /alert remove monitor_id:<uuid> removes the monitor.
